Our Mission
Fitchburg Friends of Felines is a nonprofit based in central Massachusetts that focuses on helping cats from challenging situations. In short, almost all our adoptable cats are medically complex, recovered from accidents, seniors, or former ferals. They are what you would call perfectly imperfect with a side of quirky. Please consider opening your heart and home to one of our very special feline friends!
Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to have a solid character reference, vet reference, and a site visit which can be conducted virtually. Due to MA regulations, we cannot intake pets from out of state. We offer a foster to adopt program to guarantee the intended kitty is a good fit for your family. We also require that all adopters agree to return the kitty should the adopter no longer be able to care for him or her in the future, or an agreed to person is identified to continue care for this kitty. We are not a brick and mortar; all available cats are kept in foster homes. Therefore, we would need time to schedule a visit to meet a kitty. We are happy to travel to match the perfect kitty for your family. Our adoption fees are normally $250 per cat, $350 for specialty breeds or exotics, and $50 less per kitty if interested in multiples. For specific questions, or for an adoption application, please feel free to reach out to us directly: fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com or call our hotline: 978-222-3170
