Gold (bonded with Momma)'s Story

Gold: Professional Wallflower, Part-Time Toy Inspector, Full-Time Mommas Boy

Gold's story: Gold was found outside as a baby with his siblings and stray mother. The entire kitty family was trapped was taken in by a kind foster to give them a second chance at the life they deserve.

Hi, Im Gold—an adorable orange baby with a name as precious as I am. I may not be the boldest nugget in the kitten pile, but I prefer to think of myself as quietly intriguing. While my littermates are busy creating tiny tornadoes together, youll often find me just off to the side, happily conducting an important private investigation of a toy.

Im sweet, gentle, and shy, and I like to take my time getting comfortable. Im not going to march into your home and immediately demand the Wi-Fi password—but with patience, love, and a little room to blossom, my foster knows Ill come fully out of my shell.

There is one cat who already understands me perfectly: my mom, Momma. After I was weaned, I missed her more than any of my siblings did. Thankfully, my foster reunited us, and now Momma is back to grooming me, cuddling me, and providing the emotional-support services every sensitive orange gentleman deserves. Im bigger now, but I see no reason to give up a perfectly good mom.

Because Momma is my best friend, security blanket, and personal hairstylist, we are looking for a forever home together. She helps me feel safe, and with her beside me, Ill have the confidence to settle in and show you the sweet, playful kitten hiding behind my cautious exterior.

If you have a quiet heart, a little patience, and room for two wonderful cats, please consider adopting us. Momma and I are a package deal—but honestly, getting two cats who already love each other sounds like striking Gold.

My ideal home would be a quiet home that would welcome both me and my Momma. Another outgoing young kitty in the home could also be a great opportunity to help bring me out of my shell.

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. This ensures that your feline companion is the perfect fit as well as provides support as you both transition into your new life together.

You can fill out an adoption application here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1685w60NjfU2eeE55Cd57TAaEZU7bERjyY825EMto48sTQw/viewform

Please reach out to Fitchburg Friends of Felines directly at 978-222-3170 or fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com with questions. Fitchburg Friends of Felines, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to have a solid character reference, vet reference, and a site visit which can be conducted virtually. Due to MA regulations, we cannot intake pets from out of state. We offer a foster to adopt program to guarantee the intended kitty is a good fit for your family. We also require that all adopters agree to return the kitty should the adopter no longer be able to care for him or her in the future, or an agreed to person is identified to continue care for this kitty. We are not a brick and mortar; all available cats are kept in foster homes. Therefore, we would need time to schedule a visit to meet a kitty. We are happy to travel to match the perfect kitty for your family. Our adoption fees are normally $250 per cat, $350 for specialty breeds or exotics, and $50 less per kitty if interested in multiples. For specific questions, or for an adoption application, please feel free to reach out to us directly: fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com or call our hotline: 978-222-3170
