Some might call me a big boy. I prefer to think of myself as extra huggable. <br/><br/>I came to the rescue from Philadelphia, PA, after my family decided it was time for me to find a new home. I also have a kitty “sister,” Maddie, who is looking for her own forever home, too. While my family didn’t tell the rescue a whole lot about my life before coming here, they did give them some important information about my personality—and I think they described me pretty well.<br/><br/>I’m the kind of guy who needs a little time to decide that you’re worthy of my snuggles. New people and unfamiliar situations can make me nervous, and I can be a little touchy when I’m scared. I’m not going to immediately march up to a stranger and demand belly rubs - I have standards, you know! I prefer to take things at my own pace and get comfortable before showing you my softer side.<br/><br/>But once I know you and trust you? Oh, that’s when the magic happens! I can be quite the cuddlebug! I enjoy snuggling with my people and have an especially adorable habit of crawling underneath blankets. If you’ve ever dreamed of having a furry little bed buddy burrowed under the covers with you, I'm your guy.<br/><br/>I’m also a pretty calm dude. I’m not looking for a home where I have to be entertained every second of the day. In fact, I’m perfectly happy taking things easy and enjoying the quieter side of life. A peaceful home, a comfortable spot to curl up, and a person who understands that trust takes time, sounds pretty wonderful to me.<br/><br/>Because I can become stressed and frightened during vet visits, my veterinarian has recommended medication to help me stay calm and comfortable during appointments. Because of this, I'm unfortunately not up to date on my vaccinations because of this. My new family will need to work with a veterinarian to get me to a point where vet visits can be done safely and comfortably. I am already neutered and microchipped, so I have those important boxes checked! I also need a home where I can avoid fish-flavored foods, as I was told I have an allergy to them.<br/><br/>So, what am I looking for?<br/><br/>My dream home is one where my people understand that I’m a sensitive guy who needs a little patience in the beginning. I’d love someone who will let me come out of my shell in my own time instead of expecting me to be an instant social butterfly.
