Sword (bonded with Omaha)'s Story
Sword: Dressed-to-Impress Tuxedo Athlete Seeking a Lifetime Playmate

Hi! I'm Sword! I arrived wearing a tuxedo, so basically I've been ready for my adoption interview from day one.

Cool story - I'm named after Sword Beach, one of the Normandy landing beaches, because my four littermates and I were rescued on Memorial Day. Our caregiver called Fitchburg Friends of Felines, who set up camp on Memorial Day weekend, and on D-Day, we all came crashing down down into a who new world of indoor life, no longer at war with the dangerous enemy of outside.

That is how all of us kittens got our names: Mom was already named Jake, because the neighbor thought she was a he. So, the humans call her Jacqueline now. But me and my posse of siblings are all named after the beaches of the Battle of Normandy. So cool for the history buffs!

We were born outdoors in a trailer park, where all the neighbors looked out for us. And a kind woman took care of us outside until my siblings and our wonderful Momma could be brought safely into foster care together. Once we were in foster care, we have been learning that life is full of toys, cozy places, and humans (who sometimes bring snacks).

I'm a super sweet, curious little tuxedo kitten who believes that almost everything I see deserves a closer inspection - followed by a playful pounce attack. I love chasing my toys, exploring my surroundings, and romping with my littermates. Whether I'm sprinting after something exciting or launching a surprise attack on a sibling, I bring athleticism, enthusiasm, and impeccable formalwear to the occasion.

I'm friendly and playful, but also quite easygoing. I can entertain myself when needed, although life is much more fun with another kitten nearby. And while my tuxedo markings are already quite distinguished, my black toe beans may be my finest feature. They're tiny, stylish, and available for viewing by appointment. :)

My ideal home will give me plenty of playtime, things to explore, and another friendly young cat to be my companion and adventure buddy. I would also be delighted to go home with one of my littermates. After all, every well-dressed gentleman needs a trustworthy partner for important games of chase. I do play a lot with my BIG brother, the moster huge guy of the group, an orange tabby named Omaha. We are both outgoing and can keep up with each other, so we don't annoy any other pets or people in the household. Well... there are no guarantees.

If you're looking for a sweet, curious kitten who is always dressed for the occasion, I'm ready to march straight into your heart - and then probably pounce on the nearest toy.

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. This ensures that your feline companion is the perfect fit as well as provides support as you both transition into your new life together.

You can fill out an adoption application here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1685w60NjfU2eeE55Cd57TAaEZU7bERjyY825EMto48sTQw/viewform

Please reach out to Fitchburg Friends of Felines directly at 978-222-3170 or fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com with questions.
