Our Mission
Our mission is to safely and humanely assist horses, dogs, cats, and their caretakers during times of financial hardship, emergency, or natural disaster.
We will work with FEMA, state, and local authorities during emergencies and natural disasters, and rescue animals in need. We will also go out into the community to ensure low income people have food, and supplies for their pets.
Adoption Policy
Once an animal is deemed adoptable, when a potential adopter expresses interest, we will have them fill out an application. After reviewing it, we will do an interview to vet them. When possible, this will include a face to face with children, other dogs etc.. Then we will typically do a foster to adoption agreement. After a period of time (from a couple of weeks to a few months based on the animal and other factors), we will do a final adoption agreement. In some cases, such as a previous adopter in good standing, we may skip the foster step.
