Bluey's Story

Meet Bluey — small dog, big personality, and a heart that's always along for the ride.

This handsome little 1 year old Italian Greyhound/Boston Terrier mix has the spirit (and hilarious running style) of an Italian Greyhound—when he gets going, it's all legs and zoomies, and it's impossible not to smile watching him.

Bluey is a more reserved guy at first, but he's not aloof—he just likes to take a moment to check things out before jumping in. Once he feels comfortable, you'll find he truly wants to be part of everything you do. Whether you're moving around the house, heading out for errands, or relaxing on the couch, Bluey is your quiet little sidekick, happily keeping you company. AND...he is pickey on who he wants that companion to be. We want a slow get to know you, so please don't be offended if Bluey doesn't run right up to you. He loves going for walks and exploring the world at his own pace, taking in all the sights and smells. But he's equally devoted to the art of a good nap—preferably somewhere cozy where he can relax and recharge before his next little adventure.

He's not a fan of other dogs, as he more like a ninja, very very quiet.

Bluey has a calm, chill nature with just the right touch of playful energy. He's the perfect balance of independent and affectionate, making him an easy companion for someone looking for a loyal buddy who doesn't need to be the center of attention—but still wants to be close by.

If you are chosen by Bluey, if you are willing to make a slow introduction, a test drive, a patient space for Bluey to shed his past and embrace his future, you will not regret it.

a, Bluey is ready to be your guy.

Bluey's adoption donation is $200, which includes vaccines, microchip and neuter.

If you would like to apply for Bluey, please go to www.hoofandpawanimalresponseteam/adoptions

Just scroll to his name and click adopt!

Hoof and Paw ART's Adoption Policy
Once an animal is deemed adoptable, when a potential adopter expresses interest, we will have them fill out an application. After reviewing it, we will do an interview to vet them. When possible, this will include a face to face with children, other dogs etc.. Then we will typically do a foster to adoption agreement. After a period of time (from a couple of weeks to a few months based on the animal and other factors), we will do a final adoption agreement. In some cases, such as a previous adopter in good standing, we may skip the foster step.
