Billy's Story

Meet Billy!

Billy , born 4/20214, is a Chihuahua who is looking for a quiet place to finally call home. He came to rescue from a high-kill shelter and has clearly been through a lot in his life He tends to form a deep bond with one special person and will be fiercely loyal to them. He's not looking for a busy household—just a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and cherished.

Billy would love a peaceful environment where he can enjoy his golden years at his own pace. If you're someone who believes senior dogs deserve comfort, stability, and love, Billy may be the perfect companion to share that quiet chapter with you. He would do best in a home with kind, older children. He is mostly house trained, and will need patience and consistency in his new home. He would love to just SNUGGLE his day away with someone.

He will need a doggy companion to keep him comapany, and an understanding person(s) to be willing to slowly get to know him.

Could you be the one to give Billy the retirement home he deserves? Billy's adoption donation is $75 which includes his neuter, vaccines, and microchip.

He qualifies for our Senior to Senior Progam. If interest about this program, please inquire.

Hoof and Paw ART's Adoption Policy
Once an animal is deemed adoptable, when a potential adopter expresses interest, we will have them fill out an application. After reviewing it, we will do an interview to vet them. When possible, this will include a face to face with children, other dogs etc.. Then we will typically do a foster to adoption agreement. After a period of time (from a couple of weeks to a few months based on the animal and other factors), we will do a final adoption agreement. In some cases, such as a previous adopter in good standing, we may skip the foster step.
