Mustard's Story

Meet Mustard
Mustard is a small terrier mix with a big personality packed into a compact little body! At around 2 years old, he's right in that sweet spot—past the puppy chaos, but still full of playful energy and curiosity.

Mustard hasn't had the easiest start in life, and it shows in the way he approaches new people. He needs a little time to get to know you—but once you earn his trust, you'll see just how fun, loyal, and engaging he truly is. Because of his past, Mustard is looking for a firm, kind, and consistent person who can provide clear boundaries and structure. He's a smart little guy, and if given too much wiggle room, he may try to take charge—so he'll do best with someone confident who can guide him and help him feel secure.

Like many terriers, Mustard is:
*Spunky and full of character
*Play-driven (did someone say BALL? )
*Alert and aware of his surroundings
*Loyal to “his person” once he bonds

Mustard will entertain himself, he will throw and catch the ball when no human is available

And speaking of play—Mustard is obsessed with fetch! Toss a ball, and you'll instantly see his happy, carefree side come to life. It's one of the best ways to bond with him and build that trusting relationship.
Mustard will thrive in a home that understands that sometimes the dogs with a “story” just need a little extra patience—and in return, they give you a deeper kind of loyalty. With the right person, he's going to be an incredibly rewarding companion.

Adoption Donation: $250
Includes vaccines, neuter, and microchip.

If you're someone who appreciates a dog with personality, potential, and a whole lot of heart—Mustard might just be your guy

Once an animal is deemed adoptable, when a potential adopter expresses interest, we will have them fill out an application. After reviewing it, we will do an interview to vet them. When possible, this will include a face to face with children, other dogs etc.. Then we will typically do a foster to adoption agreement. After a period of time (from a couple of weeks to a few months based on the animal and other factors), we will do a final adoption agreement. In some cases, such as a previous adopter in good standing, we may skip the foster step.
