Borris's Story

Meet Borris

He can be a little timid and shy at first—but give him just a minute. Once he realizes you're kind, Borris warms up quickly and starts showing his sweet, affectionate side. He wants to love and trust his people; he just needs a bit of reassurance that he's safe and doesn't need to be afraid.

Borris is potty trained and very much looking forward to a life that includes snuggles, comfort, and consistency. Borris is ready to find his person, and his warm up time is getting less and less.

When it comes to other dogs, Borris has more of an alpha personality. He'll need proper introductions and would do best with larger dogs who won't be pushed around. With the right match and guidance, he can do well in a multi-dog home. No little dogs, please.

If you're willing to give him a little time and understanding, Borris will reward you with loyalty, affection, and a whole lot of heart.

Borris's adoption donation is $200, which includes his vaccines, nueter, and microchip.

Hoof and Paw ART's Adoption Policy
Once an animal is deemed adoptable, when a potential adopter expresses interest, we will have them fill out an application. After reviewing it, we will do an interview to vet them. When possible, this will include a face to face with children, other dogs etc.. Then we will typically do a foster to adoption agreement. After a period of time (from a couple of weeks to a few months based on the animal and other factors), we will do a final adoption agreement. In some cases, such as a previous adopter in good standing, we may skip the foster step.
