Spoiling your dog doesn’t have to mean overindulging. Show your dog a little extra love with one of these guilt-free treats.

You don’t have to go over the top to spoil your dog. Here are a few fun and easy ways to treat your dog, guilt-free.

1. Let Him Roll

My dog loves to roll around on his back, and his favorite place to do it is anywhere that’s dirty. A roll in the dirt usually means an extra bath, but it’s a simple way to spoil him. Let your pup get a little messy to show him how much you care.

2. Doggie Daycare

Sometimes your dog just needs a day away from the hustle and bustle of sleeping at home all day. Spending a few hours playing at a doggie daycare is a great way to spoil your dog. As an added bonus, you get a little more free time.

3. Dig a Hole

If I really want to give my dog a special treat, I’ll take him down to the dog-friendly beach and let him dig in the sand to his heart’s content. If your dog is a digger, take him to a sandy spot and let him have some fun.

4. Sock Attack

One of my dog’s favorite activities is stealing socks. If your dog is a sock-stealer, tossing him a worn-out sock is an easy way to get his happy tail wagging.

5. Water Bowl Walk

My dog’s favorite place to take a walk is a street filled with shops that put out water bowls by their doors. He loves stopping at each one for a sip. Spoil your dog with a stroll in his favorite spot.

6. One-on-One Time

Being present with your dog is one of the simplest things you can do to spoil him. When you go for a walk, leave your iPhone at home, or turn off the TV as you snuggle on the couch. Let everything else go and just enjoy each other’s company.

7. Go for a Ride

What dog doesn’t enjoy a breezy car ride? Take a short drive around the neighborhood — or better yet, to the pet store for a new toy. Open all the windows and let your dog sniff the wind as it fills the car.

8. Extra Play

Play time with your pup can get pushed aside when life gets hectic. Pencil some time into your schedule for an extra-long game of fetch or tug.

9. Special Treat

Spoiling your dog with an additional treat doesn’t have to mean overindulging. Try a guilt-free treat with a food-filled puzzle toy. Your pup will enjoy the reward and get some mental exercise at the same time.

10. Get Scratching

Every dog has that spot that is always in need of a good scratch. If you really want to indulge him, give him some extra-long scratch time.

There are a lot of simple things you can do to show your pup how much you love and appreciate him without overindulging. What are some ways you spoil your dog?
