Our Mission
We at the Humane Society of Chittenden County believe that supporting, strengthening and sustaining the bonds between people and pets improves the well-being of individuals, families and communities. Our mission is to ensure that every pet has a loving home and that every pet owner has access to the resources they need to give those pets happy, healthy lives.
Adoption Policy
We strive to help you find a pet that is a good fit for your lifestyle, without creating barriers. All adoptions are first-come, first-served, and we encourage interested adopters to visit our adoption center during open hours (Tuesday-Friday 1-5PM, Saturday 10AM-4PM).
Please note that we are unable to follow up with individual Petfinder inquiries, and animals cannot be reserved online. To view the most up-to-date list of available animals and learn more about our adoption process, please visit our website: www.hsccvt.org/Adopt
