Goose's Story

Meet Goose!

This special tender-hearted boy came to us when he previous owner was no longer able to care for him. During his time with us, his sweet nature has blossomed with respect for his boundaries and need to build trust with new people. Once he is comfortable, he enjoys having a friend around for company.

While with us, we have identified that Goose has heart related medical needs that will need follow-up care to help support him in being as healthy as possible. Currently, this includes daily medication and recommendation for additional follow-up diagnostics.

Goose loves attention when he's in the mood and feeling up for it. While he doesn't always love being picked up, he loves to hang around for snuggles. In a new home, being proactive about setting up the environment to reduce exposure to things that he might find stressful will help him feel comfortable. Things like cat shelves added to the walls can be a wonderful addition.. Additionally, cat trees and other elevated surfaces increase the living space available for a cat, helping them feel more confident by being off the floor and giving them extra opportunities for climbing, perching, and surveying the kingdom! Providing ample indoor enrichment will be essential to him being able to exhibit healthy cat behavior indoors, such as playing, climbing and scratching.

Cats: Goose has previous experience with other cats and may enjoy an appropriately matched cat in an adoptive home.
Dogs: Goose has previous experience with dogs and may enjoy a respectful dog in an adoptive home.
Children: Goose has no known experience living with children, but will likely do best in an adults only home or possibly with respectful, older children.

Visit our Adoption Center to meet your potential new best friend and to learn more about Goose's medical needs. Please visit the Adopt section of our website for details on the adoption process. We look forward to seeing you soon!
