Thyme - Available from Foster

Meet Thyme!

Thyme flew into our care with his feline friends from a partner shelter in Texas. This stunning boy arrived with a name that suits him perfectly, as he takes his *time* to get comfortable.

Thyme is beautiful inside and out, but he's the kind of cat who asks that you let him come to you. Or better yet, "pet him with your eyes". While he will learn to be comfortable with his familiar people and sharing space and engaging in his own way, petting is not something he currently enjoys. If you feel him staring at you from across the room at mealtime (he doesn't seem to meow), he's silently signaling to you that his bowl is empty and must be filled.

Thyme lights up for play. His foster reports that ping pong balls are basically his love language, and he'll happily entertain himself with them. He enjoys engagement and connection, just the kind that respects his personal bubble. He'll thrive with someone patient and cat-savvy who reads feline body language well and finds joy in a gaining a cat's trust, and will be okay with the enjoyment of simply sharing his company. If you're the kind of person who appreciates a cat with a little mystery and a lot of personality, Thyme might be your purrfect match!

Dogs: Thyme has no known experience living with dogs.
Cats: Thyme has no known experience living with other cats.
Children: Thyme may best suited for a home with teenagers and adults.

Thyme is available from an HSCC foster home.
