Devon's Story
Meet Devon and Rockette!

Devon and Rockette are a bonded pair of sweet, purring companions with a beautiful story of resilience, loyalty, and a lifelong friendship. For many years, these two have been familiar and beloved faces at HSCC. Their friendship blossomed in our care while living alongside in our feral cat colony, weathering the seasons side by side. Through blazing summers and bitter winters, Devon and Rockette consistently chose each other, forming a quiet, steadfast partnership built on trust and comfort. That quiet, steady bond has only deepened over time: Rockette, soft and watchful; Devon, warm and affectionate, always ready to connect.

Recently, Devon came into our care after an injury, and during his treatment he was diagnosed as FIV+ and found to have a heart condition that is now very well managed with medication. With care and support, he is feeling brighter and more comfortable than ever. Now, for the first time, both he and Rockette are discovering the comfort and safety of indoor life together and they are thriving in their own gentle ways.
Devon is pure love and personality. He is social, affectionate, and wonderfully people-focused. Devon is the kind of cat who wants to be part of everything you're doing. He greets his world with headbutts, demands for attention, and constant companionship. If there's love to give, Devon is right there to receive it.

Rockette is his quiet, calming counterpart. She may not seek the spotlight, but she blossoms in peaceful environments where she can feel safe, cozy, and close to her bonded friend. Together, they are something truly special: two cats who have always chosen each other, now ready to share that same bond with a loving home.

Bonded pair - deeply attached and must stay together
Devon is affectionate, social, and loves being part of everything you do
Rockette is gentle, quiet, and finds comfort in calm companionship
Thrive in a peaceful home with adults or teenagers
Devon enjoys daily affection and interaction; Rockette enjoys cozy, quiet spaces
A home with flexible indoor/outdoor-style enrichment such as a screened-in porch or catio would be ideal for their comfort and curiosity
No other pets - their bond is their comfort and world
A truly loving, once-in-a-lifetime pair ready to bring warmth and heart to a home

Ready to adopt your new best friend?
Submit an adoption application today!
