Hope Animal Rescue

Durham, NC

Our Mission

Hope Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of stray or abandoned animals in North Carolina. We rescue all breeds and are 100% volunteer run, utilizing foster homes to rescue dogs and cats in need. Hope Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and all donations are tax-deductible.

It is our belief that the systemic killing of shelter pets is wrong, and we fight every day to save as many as we can. We hope to see an end to all killing of healthy and treatable animals.

Adoption Policy

Adoption fees apply. Animals are altered, microchipped and current on vaccines and monthly preventatives before adoption. Pets over eight months of age are heartworm tested and will receive necessary treatment prior to adoption. All cats and kittens are tested for FeLV/FIV. All pets under four months of age are required to be altered once old enough, which is included in the adoption fee when using a partner vet. Contact us for more information.
