Meet Meelo!<br/><br/>Meelo is a 1-year, 9-month-old mixed-breed pup with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. He's incredibly affectionate with his people and loves being wherever the action is. Whether he's playing fetch in the backyard, learning a new trick, or curling up after a busy day, Meelo thrives on being part of the family. He's crate trained, house trained, and knows a number of basic commands, including sit, down, stay, place, heel, leave it, and recall. He's eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement training. Like many adolescent dogs, he can become distracted in exciting environments, but he enjoys working with his people and has made great progress.<br/><br/>Meelo is an active young dog who would do best with a family that can provide regular exercise, continued training, and plenty of enrichment. He enjoys walks, playing outside, food puzzles, Kongs, and other activities that keep both his mind and body engaged.<br/><br/>He can be reactive to other dogs, unfamiliar people, and passing cars while on leash, so his future family should be prepared to continue building his confidence with patient, positive training. He has also experienced recurring gastrointestinal issues and is currently working with his veterinarian to determine the underlying cause. His future family should be prepared to continue that veterinary care and management as needed.<br/><br/>This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, and it was made solely because our life circumstances have changed significantly since adopting Meelo. We love him deeply and want to find a home that can give him the time, consistency, and attention he deserves. We believe he'll thrive with a family that is ready to invest in an energetic young dog and continue helping him grow into the wonderful companion we know he can be.<br/><br/>Meelo has an adoption fee of $150.
