Truffles the Porkchop Express's Story

Meet your couch potato princess - This sweet bulldog girl is allegedly one year old, but her medical chart reads like she's eighty-one. Don't let that fool you - she's got the soul of a snuggle bug and the enthusiasm of... well, a dog who's blissfully unaware she has any problems at all.
At 68 pounds of pure lounging love, she came into rescue with systemic inflammation so severe it left her with arthritis. Her mobility isn't what you'd call sporty, but she more than makes up for it in the couch-companion department. She's a lap dog trapped in a bulldog's body, and she would very much like to be in yours.

The Good Stuff:
House trained and crate trained - she's got the basics down
Dog neutral - she coexists peacefully with her canine peers large and small
Adores snuggling, lounging, and being wherever you are
Does an adorable little hop when she chases a bouncing ball
Enjoys a good chew toy session
Deaf as a post and completely unbothered by it - fireworks, thunderstorms, and doorbells mean nothing to her. She is living her most peaceful, zen life.

The Medical Stuff:
She's some flavor of bulldog, which means she'll likely have chronic health issues - but the good news is her allergies are actively improving with care. She came in covered in lumps from chronic allergic inflammation, and biopsies have all come back negative so far. The largest lump will be removed during her spay next month, and she'll also have entropion surgery on her squinty right eye but she may always be your lumpy space princess to some degree.

What She Needs:
An adopter who understands that bulldogs come with fine print. She'll need ongoing allergy management and a realistic approach to her mobility - she's not your hiking buddy, but she IS your Netflix-and-snuggle buddy. She needs a little coaxing to get moving, but once she's up, that little hop and waddle will melt your heart. Her ideal home is one where lounging is a shared lifestyle and veterinary care is treated as routine, not optional. She may be deaf, but she's tuned in to what matters - love, comfort, and someone to share the couch with. Could that be you?
