Our Mission

Twyla's Friends is a 501c(3) non-profit organization.
We are a volunteer-run organization with no shelter or kennel facilities. Our mission is to help abandoned and rescued dogs in our community find new loving homes. All donations are used to help pay veterinary expenses for dogs in immediate need going through our program.

Adoption Policy

Thank you for your interest in adopting a Dog from Twyla’s Friends.

Our main objective is to find the right match for the dog and the family, matching energy levels and expectations to facilitate a successful adoption. We aim to line up our priorities of Safety, Health, and Comfort of the dog with the expectations and lifestyle of the family.

Adoption Application can be filled out online here:  http://www.twyla.org/adopt/adoption-application

Twyla's Friends holds meetups on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 2307 Crystal Springs Drive @ Woodland Hills Drive from 1-4pm.

Not every dog can make it to every meetup, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please contact us at TwylasFriends@yahoo.com.

We require a securely fenced-in yard, current animals in the household must be vaccinated, altered and on heartworm prevention. Our process includes a veterinary reference check and a home visit, so adoptions are limited to the driveable greater Houston area.
