Our mission is to serve the pets and people of Calvert County by operating a state of the art animal adoption and education center. Our goal is to provide a friendly, caring environment to promote the adoption of unwanted, homeless animals and to be able to support these animals until they are adopted. Our vision is to develop resources that allow us to offer educational programs that clearly define responsible pet care and respect for all animals.
THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING AND SAVING A LIFE!
We are accepting applications by email and in person at our adoption center. We are only open to the public on Saturdays from 11-3, otherwise by appointment.
As much as we like to personally meet all of our applicants prior to filling out an application, we are asking that you give us as much information about you, your family, and other pets so that we can make the best match.
We will then set up a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in as well as give us the opportunity to meet you and your family. All of our animals are placed in the best fit home for them, never on a first come first serve basis.
Completion of an application does not guarantee approval for that particular animal.
We reserve the right to approve or deny any application based on the animal’s needs. Our adoption process includes a home visit. *note: In certain circumstances and in lieu of a home visit, we will ask for specific pictures of your home.
You will be contacted if you have been selected to complete the adoption process.
