Our Mission
Rosalie and Friends was created out of the President's dedication to help the under dogs and cats. She has taken in and rehabilitated the sick and injured for years. Late 2022 a well respected animal 501c3, Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter, dissolved and turned the organization over to Rosalie and Friends. We have assumed responsibility of a fospice program to get senior pets from the shelter and into loving homes through end of life. Our logo is "Fospice and fixer uppers" but that has not stopped us from helping others that cross our paths.
Adoption Policy
Adopters complete an application which is screened by the board. Screening is followed up with a phone call and if all are in agreements a home visit/meet & greet is scheduled. Applicants must also sign an adoption contract agreeing to provide routine/necessary veterinary care, provide a safe and loving inside home for their new family member and to return the animal to Rosalie and Friends should a situation arise where they could not keep the animal.
