Meet Oliver! <br/><br/>If youre looking for a loyal little sidekick who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Oliver may just be your perfect match.<br/><br/>Oliver is a 5-year-old Yorkie/Dachshund/Shih Tzu mix with a sweet, silly personality thats really started to shine since coming into foster care. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesnt take long before his happy little tail starts wagging and his goofy side comes out.<br/><br/>Weve learned so much about Oliver over the past couple of weeks, and one thing is certainhe absolutely loves being with his people. Whether its going for a walk, riding in the car, stopping for a pup cup, or curling up on the couch for snuggles, Oliver is happiest simply spending time with the people he loves.<br/><br/>Oliver walks nicely on a leash, rides wonderfully in the car, sleeps quietly in his crate through the night, and gets along well with both large and small dogs. He has also successfully lived with cats.<br/><br/>When Oliver first came into rescue, we were told he wasnt good with children. After getting to know him ourselves, weve found that the situation is a little more nuanced. Oliver has done wonderfully with our respectful 5-year-old and 11-year-old. Because hes a small adult dog, he simply prefers children who are gentle, calm, and understand how to respect a dogs space. We believe hed do best in a home with children age 5 and older who can interact appropriately with a small companion dog. We do not recommend him for homes with toddlers or very young children.<br/><br/>Oliver isnt looking for perfectionhes just looking for his person.
