Nova's Story

Meet Nova, a gentle, affectionate girl who has touched every heart shes met. She was originally found by a kind family, came into rescue pregnant, and lovingly raised her litter here even coparenting alongside another dog she didnt know. After her puppies were weaned, she returned to the family who found her, and now they need help placing her in a new home that fits her needs.

Nova is truly a joy. She adores people, melts for attention, and has had wonderful, loving interactions with kids. She leans in for cuddles, insists on pets, and will happily curl up beside you for as long as youll let her. Shes also beautifully mannered: leashtrained and housetrained, and she loves being part of family life.

Nova has lived with two other dogs and did well for a long time. Shes friendly when meeting new dogs and has had many positive interactions. However, while Nova is social and friendly, she does resource guard around highvalue items. Recently, she had an altercation with another dog, and we believe this was due to resource guarding. Because of this, Nova needs to be the only dog in her next home.

She thrives when she doesnt have to share her treasures and she will absolutely shine as someone's one and only.

K9 Coop's Adoption Policy
K9 Coop strives to match each dog with the best possible forever home. All prospective adopters must complete an adoption application and participate in a screening process, which may include reference checks, a home environment assessment, and an interview to ensure the dog’s needs align with the adopter’s lifestyle. Adopters are required to agree to our spay/neuter policy and, if applicable, sign a binding spay/neuter agreement before placement. All adopted dogs must be provided with appropriate veterinary care, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, and ongoing medical attention as needed. We maintain a supportive relationship with adopters after placement, offering guidance and assistance to ensure the dog’s successful transition into their new home.
