My chain was fastened in a dark corner with no windows. Summer burned my skin. Winter chilled my bones. There was no soft bed to sleep on, no safe place to hide, and many days there wasn't enough food or clean water.<br/><br/>I watched life happen from the end of a chain.<br/><br/>Sometimes I could see the other dogs. I wanted so badly to be close to them.
