Mr. Adventures Maverick's Story

Meet Maverick — A Little Ranch Boy Ready for His Next Adventure!

Hi! My name is Maverick, and I’m a 6-month-old Border Terrier /Poodle mix looking for one very important thing...I’m currently around 9–10 pounds and packed with puppy personality
A family to call my own.

Yes, you read that correctly—I’m a Poodle/Schnauzer mix! My mama is a gray Miniature Poodle ( you can see her beautiful photo posted here too), but judging by my brother Goose and my light brown coloring and adorable scruffy looking coat, my mystery dad must have had some pretty strong genes!

I'm already neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and crate trained.

I traveled from South California to Ridgefield, WA to live with my foster family. I can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.

My adoption fee is $1000 US

Adoption Application:

https://forms.gle/D7a5AnW8BbZUdi24A

(Please copy & paste if the link is not clickable.)

Here is my story:

I’ve been lucky enough to experience ranch life, so I’m comfortable around lots of different animals. I do great with dogs of all sizes, I’m kid friendly, and I’ve been around chickens, horses, sheep, and goats.

I think that makes me a pretty well-rounded little gentleman!

There is just one tiny exception...

CATS!

Those fast-moving little creatures are very tempting to chase, so I would probably be happiest in a kitty-free home.

I’m playful, curious, and ready to experience the world with my own family. I would love someone who will include me in their adventures, continue teaching me new things, and let me know every day that I finally belong.

I’m neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go!

My brother Goose is also looking for his forever home, but we don’t need to be adopted together. We each deserve the chance to have a family and a story of our very own.

So now I’m waiting...

Waiting for the person who looks at my scruffy little face and says, “That’s my boy.”

Could that person be you?

Love,
Maverick

Nowruz Animal Rescue Group's Adoption Policy
Our Foster-to-Adopt Process At Nowruz Animal Rescue Group, we follow a foster-to-adopt process to ensure that each pet and family are a perfect match for one another. This approach allows both the dog and the adoptive family to adjust and bond before making a lifelong commitment. Step 1: Application Once a pet is listed for adoption, interested families are invited to fill out an online application form. This form includes: Three personal references The name of the veterinarian who will care for the pet Step 2: Application Review & Phone Chat After reviewing the application, we contact strong candidates for a phone interview. This gives us a chance to get to know the family better and answer any initial questions. Step 3: Home Check If the phone conversation goes well, we arrange a home check to ensure the living environment is safe and suitable for the specific pet. Step 4: Meet & Greet Next, we schedule a meet and greet with the dog and the family—either at the home or a secure, neutral location. One or two meetings may be arranged so everyone, especially the pet, has time to feel comfortable. During this time, we also complete reference checks. Step 5: Foster-to-Adopt Trial If the family decides to move forward, the dog begins a foster-to-adopt trial period. We deliver the pet to their new home along with essentials such as: Collar and leash Food and treats Favorite toys We encourage families to stay in touch throughout the transition. If you need support or guidance, we are just a phone call away.
