Lotus D12585's Story
Lotus is a sweet black bulldog-type girl who is happiest keeping life simple: a comfortable couch, a quiet home, and a human nearby. She likes to follow her people around, but as soon as you stop moving, she's perfectly content to plop down and relax wherever she is. Her favorite spot is the couch near her human, although she doesn't necessarily need to be right beside you.

Lotus is a very low-key girl who spends most of her time sleeping or lounging. She enjoys leisurely trips around the yard for potty breaks, then it's right back inside for more relaxing. Her short legs mean she isn't really built for long walks, and she hasn't shown much interest in toys or playing. She's simply looking for a peaceful place to enjoy her retirement.

She's curious about new people and likes to take a moment to figure out who's who. So far, she hasn't shown any negative behaviors toward visitors. Her foster home has a small senior Yorkie who is blind and frequently bumps into Lotus, and she rarely reacts-she's a pretty patient girl.

Lotus is fully housebroken and sleeps quietly in her crate all night. She isn't a big fan of being kenneled during the day and may bark before eventually settling down, but since she mostly sleeps, she may be trustworthy to have loose in the house when her people are away.

She has shown some food-related reactivity, which her foster family is working on, so she'll need a home that is willing to continue helping her learn good mealtime manners.

And, of course, no bulldog description would be complete without mentioning Lotus's impressive collection of funny little noises! Her short snout gives her plenty of entertaining sound effects.

If you're looking for a quiet, easygoing companion who would much rather lounge on the couch than conquer the world, Lotus may be your girl. She's ready to find her peaceful retirement home and spend her days doing what she does best: relaxing in comfort with her people nearby.
