He is goofy, sweet, playful, not quite sure about humans at first, fearless with dogs, and daring. He loves to play with other dogs and chew on a nice bone. He's a lot faster and more agile than he looks and he's very clever! He is starting to come out of his shell more and more as he gets comfortable in his foster home! He really, really, loves other dogs and gets more confident from dogs in the home! He does play hard and holds his own with the 35lb terrier mix in his foster home! <br/><br/>He's kind of a picky eater, and seems to want a human to sit right next to him while he eats but not feed it to him. He does not like to be confined into places like a pen or room and he learns very quickly that when you go that direction that's what's about to happen and so he won't go that direction he'll run the other way. He's crazy smart! That being said, he does fine in a crate and it's not hard to coax him in! He is crate trained, good on a leash, and mostly potty trained. <br/><br/>He doesn't like to be picked up, more than probably a bath. Loud noises make him nervous, including like a big dog barking next to him. He would do best in a home with breed experience and knowledge!<br/><br/>If he could talk, he'd probably say "*Snort* Hi, Human! I am SPEED! I run on pets, so hand them over until it's time to chase and wrestle with the Bark Squad!" <br/><br/>He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on core vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of his care while in foster. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership.
