She has completely embraced life as a beloved house dog and absolutely adores people. She is affectionate, outgoing, curious, and always ready to stop by for a little love.

Potty training: Fria is about 90% potty trained. She typically has around four accidents per week, and when she does have one, it is always in the same spot. We often put a pee pad there, which she understands and uses. She is continuing to improve all the time.

Personality: Fria is friendly, confident, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. She really doesn’t behave the way you might expect a former puppy-mill breeding dog to behave. She loves meeting people and being part of whatever her family is doing.

Champion snuggler: Fria was apparently born to be a lap dog—she just had to wait a few years to discover it! She will happily jump onto the furniture, find an available lap, and settle in for some serious cuddle time. Her ideal forever home will have plenty of unlimited lap privileges.

Other dogs: She gets along wonderfully with our three dogs and enjoys being part of the pack. She especially loves going on pack walks with them and playing with our smaller dog.

Walking & activity: Fria now walks beautifully on a leash and gets very excited when it’s time for a walk. We don’t take her on especially long walks because of her leg, but she is very happy with a 20-minute walk. At home, she zooms around the house and yard, plays, explores, and keeps up remarkably well.

Her leg: Fria has an orthopedic disability affecting her right rear leg, and her right knee does not have normal movement. You wouldn’t know it from her attitude! She runs, zooms around the yard, jumps onto furniture, and can manage small flights of stairs. Her leg does not stop her from enjoying an active, happy life. She is currently taking a joint supplement for long-term support.

Sleeping: Fria loves sleeping in the human bed and settles in quietly for the entire night—with no middle-of-the-night potty breaks. On nights when she doesn’t sleep with us, she curls up comfortably on the couch, usually near one of our dogs. We leave a pee pad available just in case, although she needs it less and less.

Home alone & crate: Fria does well when left home alone and is also comfortable in her crate. When she has the run of the house, she is perfectly content to curl up somewhere comfortable and nap until her people return.

Car rides & grooming: She does well riding in the car. She was initially frightened during her first trip to the groomer, but having one of our dogs nearby helped reassure her, and she did well.

Most importantly: Fria is simply an exceptionally sweet, loving little dog. She has left her old life behind and discovered walks, couches, beds, laps, toys, companionship, and all the other wonderful things a dog should get to enjoy. Now she just needs the one thing her foster home can’t give her—a forever family of her own.

Fria deserves to be someone’s special girl, with a lifetime of love and unlimited lap time.

Fostered in Apple River, IL

See more on her facebook page: Pawsitive Pals Foster

Apply at fluffydog.net for sweet Fria!!

DATCP 270548

ADOPTION FEE: $650

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION at fluffydog.net

Adopters must be 24 years of age.
