Ernie's Story

We just can't believe that Ernie hasn't been snatched up yet! Maybe it's the long cold winter that Portland had, maybe it's that we just aren't sure what breed he is ? Ernie is a fun, friendly and playful puppy who is extremely loving and cuddly.

He loves all people, dogs, loves to play with other puppy and dog friends, and would make a perfect companion dog or even ESA as he is simply the sweetest (and squishy est!) lovable guy! Ernie is the pup that will never misbehave and he wouldn't hurt a fly - the type of pup that can go to the dog park or doggy day care and make friends with everyone!

Ernie lived with five cats and would be s great cat friendly dog, and also comfortable with calm children over the age of 8 (merely for his size). So far he's been a non barker and let's his foster siblings do all the talking!

He does excellent on car rides and enjoys daily adventure type walks and playing inside with his doggy friends.

Ernie is about 95% housetrained just an occasional accident if not let out just before bedtime.

Ernie and his brother Bert were found abandoned at 10 weeks old in a residential area of Tulum. They were covered in fleas, malnourished and skinny, but they’ve grown really fast and will be big dogs!

Currently around 7..5 months old Ernie weighs about 55 pounds! As a rescue pup we weren't sure of his estimated size or breed but now some features are coming out and he is growing so much we are guessing a Bassett/ Hound mix!

A medium to active lifestyle, fenced yard, even another doggy friend would be an ideal home for Ernie!

This hunk of love is being fostered in the Lake Oswego area. If you'd like to meet him please contact me right away!
