Hello there! My name is Baby Girl and I am a beautiful Keeshond mix. I am thought to be between 1-2 years old and I weigh around 64 pounds. I just arrived in Wisconsin and love it here. My foster home has 4 dogs for me to play with. I still am not certain how to play, but I'm super friendly and show no signs of dominance. There are a lot of new things for me to learn about, the first is what a leash is and how to walk when I'm on the end of one. I get a little confused but I'm a quick learner. I heard my mom say I also need to learn about keeping all four feet on the floor. It's just so hard because I love people so much and I want to show them. I am not aware of how big I am, so my mom thinks I might fit better in a home with older children. Stairs are also a new experience for me. A couple more nights going up for bed and I should have them figured out. I don't mind spending the night in my crate if I am too frightened by the stairs. I come right away when you call me. I love treats so I will learn what you need me to quickly if you have lots of them to share. I am working on going potty outside. I need a few extra trips outside so I don't have any accidents. Sometimes I get so excited about the smells in the backyard that I forget to go when I'm out there. Since there are so many dogs in the house we all get fed in our crates. If you have a yummy treat I will go right in for you and am pretty content once inside. I haven't chewed on anything that I wasn't supposed to so far! I really am a sweet baby girl who is looking for a family to call her own!

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
