A new iPad app for kids benefits homeless pets

Our friends at Megapops, a children’s entertainment company that creates original content for touch devices, just released a new interactive book app for the iPad called Millie Was Here. It uses the dog Millie and her adventures to engage children and encourage them to read. View the trailer here.

In this iPad app, kids can guide Millie through her many adventures.

Megapops is also committed to teaching kids about the importance of pet adoption, and is donating $1 to the Foundation for every copy of Millie and the Lost Key purchased from Aug. 9-18, plus a percentage of sales after that.

In Millie and the Lost Key, you guide Millie on a treasure hunt and help her along every twist and turn in her journey. The stories feature interactive screens, an option for read-along text, and most importantly, a cute dog on every page.

Engage your children in a fun and educational way, teach them about the importance of pet adoption and support the Foundation in our mission to find every homeless pet a forever home. Purchase Millie and the Lost Key today from the iTunes store!
