The Foundation funded a trailer for the International Fund for Animal Welfare, with which IFAW is helping pets impacted by the recent Southern storms.

This dog is one of many homeless because of recent Southern storms.

After violent tornadoes and flooding swept through  Southern states, many animal shelters were left damaged, not to mention overwhelmed by an influx of pets whose families had lost their homes.

The 36-foot truck the Foundation bought for IFAW was
among the first to respond. Arriving the afternoon of May 4 in
Memphis, TN, the truck and its staff set up
camp at an emergency shelter for animals affected by the floods.

and the Foundation will provide transportation, food and shelter to these now homeless pets. The team in Tennessee has already assisted
with the
rescue of 70 dogs.

Come back to the Petfinder blog next week for daily updates on the team’s progress.
