My happy, cheery little ball of rescue hound cuteness, Polaris, first found herself in a shelter in Winchester, KY where records show that she was too sick to spay and/or prepare for adoption. She was given antibiotics and another chance at life and sent on up to New York where I found her at Forever Home. She snuggled up to me immediately when I visited her in foster care. I picked her up to keep the next day! She was the calm presence, yes even as a puppy, that I needed. I named her Polaris after the North Star, we both needed a partner to keep us on the right track when we came together. Now at nearly two years old she is thriving and, everyone agrees, sweet and beautiful.
