Cougar is a 2-year-old bright orange domestic short hair. Cougar was in the shelter for over a year. He was deemed special needs because of his rough behavior. He bit almost every person who tried to pet him. The only person he never bit was my daughter Leah, who has Asperger's Syndrome. They formed such a special bond that there really wasn't anyway we couldn't adopt him. Since we adopted him he has changed completely. We are still working on Cougar's biting issues but he has fit perfectly in a house with 3 other cats, even after he was said to be unable to be around other cats. In particular he has bonded with Bastet, a DSH that we also adopted from the Humane Society. Despite limitations on both ends, Cougar has become a perfect cat and has finally found his forever home.
