I was browsing through Petfinder.com for dogs in my area so that I could find a playmate for my puppy.

A friend of mine wanted to take a look at the cats and as we were clicking in the profiles of the animals, we saw the most beautiful cat in the world. Her name was Grace, and she was gorgeous. I saw on her profile that she had been waiting for a home since 2010! I knew right then I had to go and meet her. We made the drive across the American border and found ourselves at the shelter.

I didn't even have to hold her in my arms to know that I was taking her home. Just one look into her eyes and I knew she would be mine forever.

The shelter staff warned me that she is very timid and is very afraid of people. I didn't mind, I was willing to work with her to trust again.

It only took a few hours of getting her home until she was snuggled in my lap, purring away.

She is by far the most amazing cat I've ever had, and I am amazed that it took me so long to find her.

I am so happy to have this amazing cat in my life, she is by far the best thing that has happened to me!
