For about a year, my husband and I have been 'waiting' for a dog to find us. We have an 11 year old black Lab that is truly the best dog ever, and we knew that, before we lost him.. it would do him (and us) good to bond with another baby. And to impart all of his doggy wisdom.

Sophie, our little rescue puppy, found us last week. My daughter, sister and I were sharing Petfinder pups when my daughter saw Sophie's page. She said "Mom. you have to adopt her".

She is about 14 wks old, and on 3/14/11 a good Samaritan saw her bungee corded tightly to the back of a bicycle. So tightly she couldn't move. The girl offered the man $15 to give her the puppy (after first being rejected an offer of 'a good home').

Within a week, she was making herself at home with Satch and has been a bundle of love and energy. Satch has become a puppy again!

We are so grateful to Fran at Yelm Animal Alliance (who drove Sophie up to us 100 miles!) and to all involved in bringing this sweet thing into our lives. Thank you too to Petfinder! Such a great resource!!
