Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Gnocchi has not been exposed to children in her foster home.

Health concerns: None

Behavioral concerns: None

Other notes: Gnocchi is the shyest of her sisters, but she's not afraid to say hi and hang out with you! She is just as happy to see her foster humans, even if she isn't as outgoing as her sister Mafalda. Gnocchi is very curious about the world around her and just wants the chance to explore it at her own pace.

Foster's Update 11/13/23 - I'm continuing to work on general shyness and skittishness, especially running away when my hand is in the cage, and allowing me to pet her. I have continued to hang out with Gnocchi and her sisters while they're in their cage and out for floor time, greet her by saying hi and her name before entering the room so she knows I'm coming, and have her sniff my hand (in bunny face pose) and take treats from my hand. Gnocchi has been more brave about sniffing my hand and allowing me to scratch her on the head and on her sides when she's in her sleepy sack. She also has started to poke her head out when I call her name and talk specifically to her, and to come back out of her sack and resume eating when I encourage her to eat ("Gnocch, Gnooch, come eat!") after she's run back into her sack if her sisters shove her aside at the food bowl or she becomes startled by something. Gnocchi has been super brave about taking veggies and treats from my hand in the last week, and she has been more willing to join her sisters at the front of the cage to 'beg' when she knows treats or vitamin C cookies are coming. She is becoming more willing to walk into a sleepy sack, which I use to help transport her in and out of her cage. She has started doing zoomies like crazy when out for floor time! Also, once in my lap, she is able to settle down if she's in a blanket 'cave' (covered, but with the holder still able to see her), and allow herself to be pet. She especially loves head and side scratches, and having her cheeks pet.
