Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.

Estimated birth date: 1/1/2020

Personality: Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc), Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Energetic, Gamma is very sweet. She will come up and sniff you but is still working on learning trust with us. Once you are able to scoop her up she will crawl around in your hands and allow you to hold her.

Favorite treats: Almonds, Apples, Brazil nuts and Melon Seeds

Favorite toys and activities: Gamma loves woven balls and chews. She makes short work of them for sure as they are gone by the morning.

Potty trained: Haven’t tried

This animal daily routine: Gamma likes to come out in the afternoon to early evening for playtime.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a same species friend in their home?): No, Gamma prefers to live alone.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Cats and dogs are in the home. Gamma does not seem to be bothered by them watching her cage from a far or when they are watching us playing with her.

Behavioral concerns: None

Other notes: She is not in the Trust Training Program. However, her foster is still working with her to get her to trust them. Her foster has her out for playtime in a playpen with them to crawl around at her discretion. Her foster has been able to get her to take a couple treats from their hands,

Gamma found her way to MNPPR when her owner wasn't able to make proper time for her.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Gamma’s foster parent prefers to meet at the Elk River PetSmart - 18050 Zane St NW, Elk River, MN 55330 or Coon Rapids PetSmart - 3589 River Rapids Dr NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
