Meet Yoshi
Hi, my name is Yoshi! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Observant, Quiet, Curious, Active
-Lifespan: Up to 8 years with proper care
-Can live with kids: Yes, Yoshi can share his home with gentle children ages 12+, but adults MUST be my primary caregiver. A chameleon is a very specialized pet. These reptiles are hand-shy and are not good pets for children who might want to handle them.
-Experienced reptile home: Yes, adopters should be able to demonstrate species knowledge. Chameleons are not entry-level pets.
-Can live with other geckos: No, Yoshi should be housed individually for safety.
-Additional information: Yoshi came to WHS in need of involved medical care for eye infections and his original owners did not have the time to administer care. After weeks of treatment, Yoshi is looking great and is ready to begin the search for his next home. Yoshi's adoption fee includes his large mesh enclosure, complete with climbing vines and live plants, a UVB light and basking light, and a misting drip system. Yoshi is an insectivore and will need to be fed a variety of species-appropriate, gut-loaded insects. Like many chameleons, Yoshi can be territorial in his enclosure. This gorgeous chameleon will thrive in a home with the right knowledge and reptile husbandry skill. If you are the person for the job, please fill out a small animal adoption application and stop by the shelter to meet him!
