Meet Dijon

Hi, my name is Dijon! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Observant, Curious, Nocturnal
-Lifespan: Up to 20 years with proper care
-Can live with kids: Yes, Dijon can share their home with gentle children ages 8+, but adults must be my primary caregiver. These geckos are hand-shy and are not good pets for children who might want to handle them.
-Experienced reptile home: Not mandatory, but adopters should be able to demonstrate species knowledge. Do your research!
-Can live with other geckos: No, crested geckos should be housed individually for safety.
-Additional information: Dijon and Little Grey were originally classroom pets and spent a long time in a habitat that wasn't temperature or light controlled. In their new homes, these geckos will need a species appropriate enclosure with lights and regulated temp/humidity so they can thrive. Dijon eats a fruit-based crested gecko diet and is still trying to figure out eating insects, since he was not offered any in his last home. These geckos will thrive in a home with the right knowledge and reptile husbandry skill. If you are the person for the job, please fill out a small animal adoption application and stop by the shelter to meet them!
