Cummerbund Rabbit Bunny Rabbit Saint Paul, MN

Due to health and safety concerns, we are now pursuing adoptions with additional safety measures in place. We will be asking potential adopters to discuss their individual preferences and comfort levels involving safety precautions during the greeting/adoption day step. We are HIGHLY suggesting all participants wear facial coverings, stay at least six feet apart, & use sanitization of all surfaces, and hands before and after contact.

Estimated birth date: 11/16/2017

Personality: Inquisitive, Friendly toward humans, Friendly toward other animals, Lazy, Cuddly, Sweet, Very chill. He loves to hangout, and go at his own pace.

Favorite treats: Fruit, fresh and dried. Loves cilantro, dill, mint and basil. He loves purple lettuce and eats his favorite first. And he always needs a bath after he eats his salad. He love his greens with "dressing" (aka a water sprinkle). He'll dig in the bowl to uncover the goodies - He's a dessert first kind of guy. Loves bananas! He won't eat hay if it's half full.

Favorite toys and activities: He isn't a big fan of toys, but loves his giant cardboard castle and peeks through the holes playfully.

Potty trained: Litter Box Trained

This animal daily routine: Morning he gets fresh litter, water, pellets, and come out for floor time. Comes out afternoon for an hour. Early evening through dinner, after dinner we sit and hand feed and pet with some of his greens, the rest is put in his kennel to finish. He comes out right before bed, for a last run for about an hour. This is his most active time.

Other notes: He loves to be out and asks to come out frequently. He is very loving, but needs time to warm up. He does great with his foster’s kids and he likes when people sit and he happily hops around and visits. He has a very laid-back demeanor. Though he likes things a specific way. He lets you know kindly what he does and doesn't like. He throws himself down to rest with a thud, and kicks out his back legs, he is very gentle with hand feeding. If he's resting and you come towards him where he can see you, and you reached your hand first, he will do a sweet lunge to greet you with cute bunny sniffs. And he will allow you to pet him and have a sweet soft moment where he turns into a bunny puddle. He's not a big fan of being picked up, though sometimes he will tolerate it. He prefers the floor for petting sessions, vs a lap or arms. When he's free and you lay on the floor he will hop and jump on you but prefers to not be grabbed at. Especially from behind! He gets startled.

Cummerbund has a brown chin! He is also willing to do ANYTHING for a treat. He literally comes running across the room and climbs all over you until he gets it or follow you around if he can smell them on you. He gives a playful thump if he notices something is out of place or rearranged and also when he gets the zoomies. He gives a dramatic thump when he is being corralled back into his pen and when being put down from being held. He’s dramatic in the funniest ways!

Cummerbund found his way to MNPPR as a transfer from another rescue who was not properly equipped to care long term for a rabbit. He has previously been found as a stray.

Due to our rescue being foster based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. Cummerbund’s foster parent prefers to meet at the Maple Grove PetSmart - 11200 Fountains Dr, Maple Grove, MN 55369 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
