Our Mission
At Second Chance Habitat, we’re a volunteer-based dog rescue organization in Virginia Beach (and surrounding areas) committed to saving as many homeless and at-risk dogs as possible. Our mission is to give animals in harm's way a second chance at life through foster care and responsible pet adoption.

Adoption Policy
Our goal is to match each of our rescue dogs with a safe, loving, and permanent home. To ensure the best fit for both the dog and the adopter, we require a completed adoption application, three personal references (including your current veterinarian), and a home visit, either virtual or in person. If you do not have any pets, then the request for a vet reference does not apply.
