Annie's Story

Meet Annie! 💛

Annie was pulled from the Duplin County shelter on her very last day, and she is now living life to the fullest! She loves being outdoors—especially basking in the sunshine—and each day brings new joys for this happy girl.

Annie is 2 years old, weighs 44 pounds, and is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. While the dog scanner lists her as a pit bull mix, whatever her blend may be, one thing is certain: Annie is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Annie is smart and eager to learn—she’s already mastering basic commands and has conquered the stairs with ease. Second Chance Habitat's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to match each of our rescue dogs with a safe, loving, and permanent home. To ensure the best fit for both the dog and the adopter, we require a completed adoption application, three personal references (including your current veterinarian), and a home visit, either virtual or in person. If you do not have any pets, then the request for a vet reference does not apply. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we put our hearts into every adoption. For more information about our adoption process, please visit www.secondchancehabitat.org/adoptions Thank you for choosing to rescue and save a life!
