Bella-Reed Pitbull Rescue (BRPBR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit pit bull rescue organization located in Southeastern, Pennsylvania. We are a small network of hardworking volunteers and foster homes dedicated to advocating for the most misunderstood breed in the world: The American Pit Bull Terrier. We are completely devoted to the positive promotion of the pit bull. While we work mainly out of the Philadelphia and Southern NJ areas, we network with rescue groups and other informative groups all over the world.
Congratulations! Having a pit bull type dog is not for everybody. Unfortunately, breed discrimination is common; you need to stay positive and educate people when they criticize your companion. Renters struggle with finding pit bull friendly housing and some home insurance carriers won't cover them. Because we know how challenging it can be to navigate people's biases and misconceptions, we ask that you fulfill these requirements in order to adopt one of our dogs:
Be at least 21 years old.
Be able to meet the dog in question as well as do meet-and-greets with current pets.
