To rescue dogs at risk of euthanasia, provide them with safety, medical care, and emotional healing, and place them into loving, responsible homes where they can thrive for a lifetime. We believe that dogs should be viewed with a trauma informed lens and rehabilitated with the understanding that there are no "bad dogs."
Adoption Policy
At Mongrel Mafia Dog Rescue, our adoption process is designed to ensure that every dog is placed in a safe, loving, and stable forever home. We believe adoption is a lifelong commitment, and our policies reflect our responsibility to both our dogs and our adopters.
1. Application & Screening Process
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. This allows us to learn about your lifestyle, experience with animals, household environment, and expectations for a new pet. Our goal is not to judge, but to ensure the best possible match for both dog and adopter.
This process may include:
    •    Application review
    •    Reference checks
    •    Veterinary reference (if applicable)
    •    Home environment verification (virtual or in-person)
    •    Meet-and-greet with the dog
