At Mongrel Mafia Dog Rescue, our adoption process is designed to ensure that every dog is placed in a safe, loving, and stable forever home. We believe adoption is a lifelong commitment, and our policies reflect our responsibility to both our dogs and our adopters. 1. Application & Screening Process All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. This allows us to learn about your lifestyle, experience with animals, household environment, and expectations for a new pet. Our goal is not to judge, but to ensure the best possible match for both dog and adopter. This process may include:     •    Application review     •    Reference checks     •    Veterinary reference (if applicable)     •    Home environment verification (virtual or in-person)     •    Meet-and-greet with the dog
