Our Mission

Mission Statement — Stella’s Sanctuary Stella’s Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and responsibly rehoming animals facing neglect, abandonment, medical hardship, or risk of euthanasia. Through compassionate foster-based care, veterinary partnerships, and community outreach, we provide medical treatment, behavioral support, and advocacy to give every animal the opportunity for a safe and permanent home. Our mission is to strengthen the human-animal bond while preventing unnecessary shelter intake through education, early intervention, and collaboration within the communities we serve.

Adoption Policy

Adoption Policies — Stella’s Sanctuary Stella’s Sanctuary is committed to placing animals in safe, responsible, and permanent homes through a thoughtful adoption process designed to ensure the best possible match for both the animal and the adopter. Potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application, which includes personal references, veterinary history when applicable, and information about the home environment and lifestyle. Applications are reviewed to ensure the animal’s needs, temperament, and activity level are compatible with the prospective home. When appropriate, landlord approval and veterinary references are verified. Meet-and-greet opportunities are encouraged to ensure a successful transition for both the adopter and the animal. All adopted animals receive age-appropriate veterinary care prior to placement, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, and spay or neuter surgery when medically appropriate.
