SHEEBA's Story

Meet Sheeba

Don't let the gray on her muzzle fool you! Sheeba still has plenty of adventures left to share.

At 8-9 years young, Sheeba is proof that age is just a number. She loves getting outside, stretching her legs on a hike, playing fetch in the yard, and spending time with the people she adores. She's active, affectionate, and happiest when she's part of the family.

One of the sweetest things about Sheeba is her gentle heart. She has a beloved little blue stuffed bunny that she's treasured for years. Instead of tearing it apart, she carries it around, cuddles it, and gently sucks on it when she's relaxing. A comforting habit that's as adorable as it sounds. Stuffed animals aren't toys to destroy in Sheeba's world...they're cherished companions.

When the adventures are over, Sheeba transforms into an expert cuddle buddy. She absolutely loves affection and will happily lean into you, curl up beside you, or soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give.

Sheeba is house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and is wonderfully well behaved in the home. She isn't destructive and has excellent house manners. She's also a quick learner and enjoys working with her people. She already knows "sit," has started learning "down," and has even begun practicing fun tricks like jumping through a hoop. With continued positive training, she'll love learning even more.

She does get excited when greeting people and sometimes forgets her manners by jumping up to say hello. Because she's a strong, enthusiastic girl, continuing to work on polite greetings will help her be the very best version of herself.

She walks nicely overall but can pull on leash from time to time, especially when she's excited to explore. A gentle leader or similar training tool, along with consistency, should help her continue improving.

Sheeba enjoys a game of fetch (although bringing the ball back is still optional!) and would love an adopter who enjoys walks, exploring nature, or simply spending time outdoors together.

Most of all, Sheeba is looking for someone who will appreciate the wonderful combination of maturity and playfulness she offers. She's past the puppy chaos but still has the energy and enthusiasm to enjoy life to the fullest.

If you've been searching for a loyal companion who still has plenty of adventures ahead but also knows how to settle in for a cozy evening at home, Sheeba is waiting to meet you.

Sheeba at a Glance

* Breed: Mixed Breed
* Age: 8-9 years young
* Weight: Approximately 60 lbs
* Spayed: Yes
* House Trained: Yes
* Crate Trained: Yes
* Sleeps Through the Night: Yes
* Car Rides: Enjoys riding along. Brand new travel crate valued at $300 will come with her to ensure her safety while riding.
* Energy Level: Medium-High
* Training: Knows "sit," is learning "down," and enjoys learning new things.
* Favorite Activities: Hiking, Fetch, Cuddling with her stuffed bunny, Snuggling with her people
* Favorite Toy: Her treasured little blue stuffed bunny.
* Food Motivated: Yes
* House Manners: Excellent! She'd love a family who will include her on walks, hikes, and weekend adventures, while also appreciating quiet evenings spent cuddling on the couch. With a little continued work on polite greetings and leash manners, you'll have an incredibly loving, loyal companion who's ready to make every day a little brighter.

Come meet Sheeba and discover why some of the very best dogs only get better with age.
