Our Mission
The ARC Rising mission is to cultivate reciprocal healing for the people and animals of the Flathead Reservation. In support of the mission we:
• Offer healing: provide animal-assisted healing for trauma victims and at-risk youth of the Flathead Reservation
• Respond to crisis: engage in grassroots outreach seeking to identify community members in crisis due to lack of support or access to services. Collaborate with law enforcement, veterinarians and other partners to provide field rescue and response for at-risk animals, while offering support to indigent families with animals in crisis (e.g., injury, illness or deprivation).
• Alleviate suffering: help alleviate the suffering of people and animals throughout the Flathead Reservation

Adoption Policy
We encourage you to reach out to us through messenger on our Facebook page or at director@arcrising.org while we set up our phone system and online application, which will be operational soon. Thank you for your patience.
We require a full-length application to be completed. We select an adopted for each animal based upon best fit for family and animal given all provided information (not first come, first serve). We require the animal to be sterilized at the time of adoption. We do not require a site visit but reserve the right to do one if red flags arise and we reserve the right to refuse an adoption. We also have a long, thorough adoption contract that must be signed for legal transfer of ownership and adoption fee is collected at that time in the form of payment to ARC Rising. We offer post-adoption support (counseling, referral, etc.). We require that if an adoption does not work out, adopters contact ARC rising and we reserve the right to reclaim the animal or approve transfer to a reputable organization or vetted new home.
