Our Mission
Paws New England is dedicated to rescuing abandoned, injured, and abused dogs from shelters, neglectful situations, and veterinary clinics—primarily in the southern United States, where overcrowded shelters too often lead to euthanasia for space.
We specialize in helping dogs with significant medical needs, including those requiring extensive veterinary care, as well as senior and hospice dogs who deserve comfort, dignity, and love in their remaining years. In addition, we assist with placing dogs from New England shelters and support individuals who need help responsibly rehoming adoptable dogs.
Our mission is simple: to give vulnerable dogs a second chance and help them find the safe, loving homes they deserve.

Thank you for your interest in giving a PAWS dog a safe and loving home! Here’s how our adoption process works:

Visit Paws New England to view our current dogs. The list is updated regularly, so if you don’t find the perfect match today, please check back soon!
Submit an Adoption Form
Once you find a dog you’re interested in, please complete an Adoption Form on our website at www.pawsnewengland.com (you’ll also find the application link in each dog’s profile).
Application review & follow-up
Your form is routed to one of our adoption coordinators, who will reach out to discuss your interest. Please allow 24–72 hours for initial contact.
Important note about inquiries
If you’re interested in one of our dogs, submitting an application is the best way to move forward. While we appreciate “I’m interested” emails, we’re not always able to respond to them individually. Completing an application helps secure your place in line for the dog you’re hoping to adopt.
