Rip's Story

Meet Rip -- A Sweet Boy Learning What It Means to Be Home.

Rip is a handsome Pointer/Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love to give. After spending time roaming with his brother, Rebel (also available for adoption) Rip is discovering just how wonderful life can be in a safe, loving home.

A little shy at first, Rip is coming out of his shell more every day as he learns that people can be trusted. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and has done wonderfully with the dogs in his foster home. He also does great with cats and kittens and is a big fan of the foster's grandchild. Kids, dogs, and playtime? Rip is in!

Rip is crate trained and happily settles in his crate while his foster is at work. He's also learning to walk on a leash and is making progress with house training, although he still has an occasional accident. After everything he has been through, Rip is simply learning the basics of being a house dog--and he's doing his best.

Rip would love a patient family who will continue teaching him and give him time to build confidence. A home with another playful dog or children could be a wonderful fit for this sweet, playful boy.
Rip has already learned that being safe feels good.
